Uno dei maggiori simboli dei Troubles in Irlanda del Nord ha cambiato faccia.
Sto parlando del Free Derry Wall situato nel quartiere Bogside di Derry. Nei giorni scorsi infatti, alcuni dei residenti ed un gruppo di artisti svizzeri hanno utilizzato il muro per lasciare dei loro messaggi personali.
Negli anni scorsi, la comunità veniva consultata attraverso sondaggi e questionari. Questa volta invece si è preferito dare alla comunità una ‘tela bianca’ su cui scrivere liberamente di sogni, questioni abientali, ecc….
L’iniziativa ha riscosso un grande successo.

The Free Derry Wall has changed face
One of the most famous symbols of the Troubles in Northern Ireland, it has changed face.
I am speaking about the Free Derry Wall, in the Bogside, Derry. A fews days ago, some of the local residents and a group of Swiss artists have used the wall to leave their personal messages.
During the last years, community was consulted through surveys and questionnaires. This time it has been given to the community a ‘white canvans’ to write about personal dreams, environment, etc….
It was a tremendous success.
